is it true that bright sound has better imaging than warm sound

Saurav and Aslam:

I prefer to listen to music at night(when I'm just a bit drowsy), with the lights off. When I'm wide awake and the room is bright, I easily lapse into the "listening to the equipment, instead of the music" mode.
