Is it possible that MTV may release the old headbanhers ball shows on DVD?

So many good shows back in the 91-95 era with live performances etc.

would be great to have on DVD

I'd love these, but I highly doubt it. AS we've seen with countless other releases, music clearances are a bitch.

I would love to have such a set as well, but lately, the recording industry has been particularly pig-headed about music rights, so it's unlikely.

It might be easier to license whole music videos for compilations, rather than individual songs in TV season sets, but I really doubt this will happen. [IMG]

It's likely but I doubt that MTV will bring Headbangers Ball to DVD. MTV doesn't want to pay the royalty fees which are required, this is why the Beavis & Butt-head DVD's don't contain the music video segments.
