that Gomer Pyle Came back to Mayberry after his Marine Service? I Seem to remember an Episode of Gomer Pyle USMC in which Gomer tells Sergeant Carter he is buying the Gas Station in partnership with Goober and Will leave the Marines. ...In Return to Mayberry (1986) We see Gomer and Goober own the Garage although NO reference to Gomer as a marine is made. Am I correct in assuming it is implied ?

I haven't seen that reunion movie in a long time, but that's what I always thought.

Gomer talks about working at the garage in Mayberry, and his cousin Goober, but I don't recall an episode where Gomer mentions ownership with Goober. The last Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C episode ends with Gomer's transfer being cancelled. We never see him leave the service on screen.

However, in "Return To Mayberry", Gomer and Goober are shown working together at the G & G Garage. So I'd say it's cannon.

Naw, it's "Canon" although a "Cannon" was featured in a couple of TAGS episodes.
