My future new television :D is a Hitachi 51F510. Il has
both component and HDMI inputs. My DVD player also has both component and HDMI outputs. My question is which is the better connection to use between the DVD player and the TV. Does it depend on the quality of the video processors in the TV and the DVD??

Thanks

Some might say that HDMI is better than component since it is an all digital connection, where as component has to go through an analog to digital conversion.
My eysight makes it difficult to decide, because both look good.
HDMI will make your HT future compatable with newer technologies.
It also has the ability to send audio & video over the same cable, and is compatable with DVI connections.
PQ does depend on the quality of the processors, as well as getting a good signal.
If the signal is not good, the PQ won't be either.
