Basically just a repeat of last season's finale; it ended with the same two people possibly getting together...again.

Monica's hair was funny, though.

Will & Grace was far funnier, but no one talks about that, either. :frowning:

Joey & Rachel hook up. Normally, I would have no problem with it. But, it is like they threw out 8 years of people's characters right out the window. Since the first episode, Ross always wanted Rachel. Then it became mutual. They have a kid together. And now she likes Joey. I just don't like how it has progressed.

I kinda wish they ended it for good last night. Right about now I'd rather watch a Joey spin off than see more of Monica's psychosis, Ross' pathetic whining, and anything of Phoebe at all. They've lasted about one season too long for me now.

I also felt sorry for David, Its a shame that Pheobe choose mike instead, but I'm glad that the producers brought Hank Azaria back to tie up that loose end.

And why didnt they talk about Chandler and Monica Pregnacy problem

I somewhat agree, just hadn't seen the "They've lasted about one season too long for me now" thread. Really just wondering if anyone here was even watching anymore.

Malcolm, I have to strongly agree with you about Will & Grace. I think it is consistently hilarious. I'll start a thread about last nights episode.

I stopped watching. The direction they've been taking the story lately is horrid.

What's the point in Chandler and Monica having a baby? This is the show that plays up viewers heartstrings with the baby storyline and then once the baby is born you rarely hear or see the child, pretty sick if you ask me.

I agree that Friends is a long way past its sell-by date, but one thing that I've noticed is that comments on most of the Friends threads concentrate on how the characters are doing things we don't like. Most comments on other series tend to be about the show as an entity rather than the characters. Folks respond to Friends rather more as if they were talking about real people they once liked but have grown apart from. I.e. the reaction is different from e.g. reactions to other long-running shows such as The Simpsons, where negative comments have concentrated on criticisms of scripts, etc.

At this point, I'm guessing the creators regret making Monica and Ross related. It just gets in the way of the 'I have feelings' carousel making a full curcuit.

I was really close to being done with Friends after last years dumb-ass clifhanger but figure I would stick with it for one more year and of course that turned into 2. I do get laughs out of the show but it sure seems lkie they had to totally rewrite Rachel and Joey's charcters to have them liking each other.

It really seems like they were prepared to wrap the show this year and had to end up delaying all the series ending story lines for a year when everyone signed on again.

Sorry, had to do some work while at work. :D It does still take priority. I'll head over there now.

I still watch it. It does seem to have gone downhill, but watching it for me is kinda like comfort food. I've watched them for what 9 years or so? I'm gonna stick it out till the end. Even with the last couple seasons being somewhat mediocre, I still rank this show pretty high up-not as high as Seinfeld, but up there.

That being said, I f'in missed the season finale. Stupid VCR. All it caught was like the last 20 minutes of Will & Grace--another show I like and watch. It's good, but I didn't think many watched it here since I never see any threads about it.

I will stick with the show until the end. I was hoping they'd end it this season so I wouldn't have to watch it anymore though. :)

As for the lack of comments about the show, as well as about Will & Grace and other sitcoms... they're not really "buzzworthy" anymore (if they ever were). Good entertainment, but what is there to say about them? Not much.

This show has "Jumped the Shark" for me with this whole Joey/Rachel thing.

I guess I'm just "old fashioned" in thinking the father of your baby should be your husband.

(OK! I know! I'm a dinosaur!!)

Ah, this episode just made me mad. First Phoebe does that to David like that. Like it was nothing. She didn’t even turn her head or get up to say anything to him. Then at the end, you see Joey doing that to the woman who had a child with his best friend. It all just made me sick. Horrible story elements.
