I filed mine over 5 weeks ago with the direct deposit option.

It supposed to be faster than getting a check. I don't remember a check taking this long.

Anyone else's refund really slow ?

Nope...submitted it thru Turbo Tax online, and showed up in my bank account in about a week. I'd start making calls...did you get any sort of verification that it was submitted successfully? I believe they said it was supposed to take 10-16 days, so it sounds like something's amiss.

Dan I didn't submit it online.
My accountant prepared it for me then I mailed it in.

That explains the delay (mailing it in).

I filed online and got my refund back within 10 days via electronic bank transfer.

Mailing your tax return in usually has a turn around time of about 8 weeks or so, so you still have a ways to go before getting worried. Direct deposit or not, mailing is still a much longer route then e-filing.
If you're getting a refund, the govt will take their sweet ol' time as they are mailing you money. But when you owe them, you better have it in ASAP.

My tax refunds usually go towards my Roth IRA contribution.

I'll most likely owe money this year (first time ever).
I had an investment go REALLY well last year, so now it's time to pay...
    Anybody else owing this year?

Same quick results here with turbo tax, filed fedral return electronically and had refund within 2 weeks.
Snail mailed state return due to the fact that the e-file cost would have been about 10% of the values of the return. That took around 6 weeksfor the refund.

I checked online for Federal and State. Both give you the ability to check your refund status by entering in your ss# and refund amount. Mine are coming this week.

Well, here is a blunder to make you feel better... I telefiled what I thought was my State return, and mailed in my Fed return. Turns out the telefile was also a Fed return, so I double-posted my Fed return and didn't get my State return in at all (until a few days ago). This has all been straightened out, but caused much delay. I should have stopped to wonder why my State and Fed refunds came out to be exactly the same dollar amount. What a ditz!

    Somewhat off-topic but ...

The first time I e-filed my federal return, it bounced due to the fact that social security had my birthday listed incorrectly (off by 2 days). Amazing how you discover an error that was over 40 years old

I filed the snail-mail way. Both were dropped into the mail box on Thursday, Feb. 19th. The State check came on Saturday, March 13th and the Feds showed up yesterday, March 25th. So, from mailbox to door step, 24 days for the State and 36 days for the Feds.

    Peace Out~[IMG]
