Is anyone else as excited about the new "Tick" show on Fox?

Finally a live action series based on one of the best comics ever made. I heard that Fox is calling this a gamble, but are taking the chance anyway. For anyone who doesn't know what the "Tick" is about; It is basically a super-hero "farce"....average Joes that are super heroes...just the Tick may be insane. He is the (self) sworn protector of "The City". With his sidekick Arthur (the Moth), they fight whatever crime that they can find. Patrick Warburton ("Seinfeld's Puddy) plays Tick to a "T". I saw the "pilot" ep. and thoroughly enjoyed it. It stays true to the original comics. It will be a gamble for Fox for a "black comedy" to make it; I for one recommend it for everyone to at least give it a try. You'll either love it or hate it. Please support this series for Fox!

The reviews of the pilot haven't been good, but I never judge a show by the pilot because the pilot always has too much exposition to clue in the audience as to who these people are and what their relationship is.

I wouldn't say 'excited.' I really enjoyed the animated series and was disappointed to hear that they were renaming American Maid and Die Fledermaus... especially to such stupid new ones. But I have heard it's funny and I will tune in for a while and hopefully it will be good *and* stick around for a while.

I've read nothing but positive things on this show, many saying it's one of the few bright spots on the fall schedule.
It's too bad the threat of a writers strike delayed the debut of this show. I.m really looking forward to this.

The clip New England Comics had on their site awhile back was hysterical. The antenna are BRILLIANT! Looks good to me anyway

This is one of the new series I'm really looking forward to. Unfortunately, it's up against the juggernaut that is Survivor, so I'm not entirely optimistic about it's chances...

David, I am also disappointed to see the names of American Maid and Die Fledermaus changed, but at least it's not "just because"... the original names are tied up in the rights of the animated version (perhaps because of the feature film they were planning?).

I understand that they couldn't use the original names, but c'mon... Bat Manuel? How crappy is that name?! Die Fledermaus was so cool, and Ben is usually so good at coming up with these names.

    When does this premiere?
And is it Fox who kept them from using the names that were created for the animated series? Talk about questionable, derivative, intellectual property. Boo!

Still haven't seen any preview spots for the show. Does anyone happen to have a link to a place online that has one?

Hasn't Fox delayed the premiere until early November?

On November 1st I will be glued to the TV. I have been waiting a very long time for this. Mr. Warburton is perfect for the role!

Dear Tick: What would you do if bees took over the world?
Egad, Hogarth! When the bees implement their worldwide Fascist regime, I will be the first to go down into the honey mines. I will be the first to carry their squirming larvae in my teeth, to smear royal jelly on their chosen queen. And why? Good heavens! On account of the stinging!
