Is "Alien" available in a DTS version? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking to buy a copy and need advice. Does anyone own a DTS version? Is there a big difference between the DD and the DTS version?

Region 1 just has one version right now, the 20th anniversary special edition with no DTS track.

The upcoming 9-disc Quadrilogy will supposedly contain DTS track for each film.

Jeremy: Thanks for the feedback! I saw a "DTS" version on an auction site and thought that it was bogus. I doubt I'll be able to afford the 9 disc version. I guess I'll go ahead and buy the "20th Ann. Edition".

Yeah, that one is most likely a bootleg.

The 20th Anniversary Edition is a great disc though...fantastic PQ (still holds up well by today's standards) and an awesome commentary track with Ridley Scott.

Before this thread gets locked or moved for being in the wrong place, the price for the Alien 9 disc set should be fairly cheap.. particularly if you order from Canada.

I'd get the best available.. (and I'm keeping my copy of 20th anniversary Alien, in case the isolated score/alternate audio is missing from the Quadrilogy set)

This is Fox we're talking about. The 9-disc version is pretty much guaranteed to be affordable. SRP's only $80, so finding it for $60 should be no problem.
