Also your Definitive Technology BP2006 has an efficiency rating of 92dB not 86dB

And as Peter pointed out the internal powered woofer section will take a load off the main amplifier.

Agreed... if your woofers are powered, the HK will be more than sufficient to drive the mid-top end. It's the bass, especially with a larger driver (10 inches plus) that really needs the power to give you the live-sounding slam.
