In my case, I store my music on my phone. I have nearly 200GB of music so right off the bat, I need to go with a larger storage capacity.

I also subscribe to a HI-REZ music service that allows me to download albums/songs in that format and play it back on my phone through my car system.

I could get away with 256GB, but it's really cutting things close. So, 512GB it is!

Man, I haven't bought a new cell phone since my iPhone 6s plus. With that said, I'm thinking of upgrading next year with that model you're buying so I'll be reading your comments about that model.

128GB base storage for the 12 Pro

I could get along with 64GB if I was getting the 12. But 128 should be very comfortable for the next 3+ years.

I'm probably going up to 256 (from 128) for me, but the other way around for my wife -- she only uses 60-70GB or so (on her 7-Plus) despite having most her music stored on the phone (and probably taking up 25-30GB).

I kept hobbling along w/ my regular 11/128GB due largely to photos and videos I shoot (and edit on the phone) mostly from vacations and don't wanna have to offload them all (so frequently/quickly). Would rather not rely on iCloud Photos even though I do use iCloud Backup (albeit w/ just 200GB family shared so far, which is mostly used by me -- wish they offer a 500GB or even 1TB tier instead of the big leap to 2TB). I also keep my music on phone, but had to keep paring them down to make room...

If I took the time to build new playlists, I could delete 5GB to 10 GB of music, because I rarely listen to it. My real storage needs are books and podcasts. And photos. So, 128GB a will be super roomy and take away all pressure for the forseeable future.

Hey guys,

I ran into the “proud daddy” issue where I have about 11,000 photos and videos on my phone. I also store offline Tidal and Qobuz. I ended up getting a 2TB iCloud account and now I have like 90GB free on my 256GB phone
