I have the original iPad and an iPad 2. The early underground photos comparing an iPad 2 to an iPad 3 show a thicker iPad, supposedly because of the higher resolution screen requiring more light, thus more battery. I guess we will find out in March, the rumored iPad 3 launch date, to find out the truth.
