There are a lot of aftermarket versions of this Public Domain Sci-Fi cult classic from AIP. Which is the best that people have found so far (from who)?

As far as I know, this is owned by Columbia. That is, I have it on VHS from Columbia, along with about a hundred other vintage horror/sci-fi films just wating for DVD attention....

Didn't this one run on VOOM recently in high-def?

This was definitely owned at one time by Columbia/Sony/whateveryawannacallit, though the rights may well have reverted elsewhere by now. At any rate, it's definitely not public domain. And I wasn't aware of any versions available of it other than the way outta print Columbia VHS that I snagged years ago. I wish all those AIP/Arkoff/Corman goodies would come out on region 1, although a number of them have come out in England, but not INVASION OF THE SAUCERMEN I don't think.

I think (don't quote me) that this is going to be released overseas as part of the Arkoff Collection. I at least read that at some forum but I'm not sure how true it is. The title is certainly NOT public domain but I do know one place that sells a bootleg so this might have been what you saw.
