While browsing Cinescape, an ad popped up for a new DVD of Kaufmans Body Snatchers... while it lead me to the MGM site - and revealed the new cover, I have been unable to find out anymore info on this... anyone got any news? Is it anamorphic?

It's simply a new cover rerelease to cash in on War of the Worlds. Transfers (1.85:1 non-anamorphic and 1.33:1 open-matte) are the same and extras are retained.

Great film. I'd love to see a SE with a new anamorphic transfer and documentary in addition to the current extras.

same here. i'm a big fan of this (and the original).
in fact, it was the first dvd i ever bought.
very much in need of an anamorphic remastering

There was a featurette (Pod Culture?) listed on the cover of the first release that is nowhere to be found on the disc. Have they actually included it this time? I wanna see it!
