Here is Amazon’s ‘Fire TV Family’ full press release from September 9th:
SEATTLE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–(NASDAQ: AMZN)—Amazon today announced an all-new lineup of Fire TV devices with its first-ever Amazon-built smart TVs, the Amazon Fire TV Omni Series and 4-Series smart TVs, and the all-new Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
“We’ve reimagined what a TV can do by building it with two of our most popular experiences at the core—the intelligent always-available power of far-field Alexa, and Fire TV’s content-forward approach to entertainment,” said Daniel Rausch, Vice President, Amazon Entertainment Devices and Services. “Our new Fire TV Omni Series smart TVs, with hands-free access to Alexa, make controlling your TV faster, simpler, and more natural.”

Who would buy this crapola ?
Possibly the same ones who purchase ONN TVs at Wal-Mart. Although, if these are being manufactured by the same company as Best Buy's Insignia Fire TVs, these could be very good entry-level bargain TVs.

The head scratcher is why only the 65" and 75" models include Dolby Vision. Insignia's new F50 series are all QLED with Dolby Vision on all sizes (50"-70"), and are priced comparably to the Omni Series.

Apparently, Amazon also has a 4-Series that is HDR10 in 43", 50", and 55" and does not have a voice remote.

At Amazon's Press Event today, it was confirmed that the OMNI series are not QLED nor are they full-array backlit. Makes the Insignia F50 series look like a better option if you want to stay with the Fire OS.
