I'll have to see the trailer later when I have more time.

I have to admit, I have a bit of a sinking feeling in my stomach regarding this one. Not sure why. Maybe it is the involvement of Brian Grazer.

The Coen's are my favorite filmmakers, so I'm confident that it'll be a good film. However, this trailer didn't give me the same kind of giddiness that usually accomponies the first glimpse of their latest film. Maybe because they cut this trailer to appeal more to mainstream audience this time around?

Its WAY too early, and of course, we'll have to wait and see but I havent been crazy about this one from the beginning either. The script got some bad reviews awhile back.

I know that means nothing, but Kill Bill Vol1[IMG] is being released the same day and Im keeping by expectations low as I dont want to be disappointed by both.

I think it looks good, but how could it possibly be bad, it's a Coen movie

"You...fascinate me." I still laugh when I think of that line from the trailer.

    Two words: Please clarify.

See, I hate the the Hud gets a bum rap because it was A) expensive and B) a box-office disappointment.

Perhaps my Coen-ology is all askew but I'd contend that The Hudsucker Proxy is absolutely one of the brothers' finest films.

Certainly more entertaining than the rather overrated "Lebowski".

But again: my analyses of the Brothers Coen have always been a bit askew: I think Miller's Crossing and Raising Arizona are their best movies by far.

They can basically do no wrong for me and I love Hudsucker, but I have heard the script rumblings too.

Robert Ramsey and Matthew Stone, who wrote winners like Big Trouble, Life, and Destiny Turns on the Radio share screenplay credit with the Coen's. Isn't that a first for the Coen's to not have done the script entirely themselves? That's gotta be a big red light.

And also I believe I read this is a script the Coen's shelved a few years ago and didn't really like but somebody (Grazer maybe?) convinced them to dust it off and shoot it.

Isn't Joel getting sole director's credit on this film?

Scott, my opinion of Hudsucker has nothing to do with how much it cost, and I've never gauged a film on its success at the box office. Have we met? :p)

I only consider HP the weakest of their films. I've said it before and I'll say it again. A Coen film is like pizza and sex. When it's good, it's very good. When it's bad, it's still pretty good.

To be honest, I've discovered that doesn't actually apply to one of those, but I won't go into that......

I just downloaded the trailer but my work PC must be missing a plug-in because I can't get sound.

Coen's haven't let me down yet, so this is one of my most anticipated of the year. I'm a big fan of The Hudsucker Proxy. Underrated gem all the way.

I certainly don't think Lebowski is overrated as it is my favorite film from the Coens. But i'll agree that Miller's Crossing is definitely their second best. [IMG]
