My cousin just spoke to me on MSN, telling me that he has a job interview for Home Depot at 7:00 tonight (EST). As this is is first job, he's quite nervous, and was asking me for some advice on what to do and what not to do at the interview. I gave him all I know, but don't feel it's enough.

So, I'm hoping the fellow HTF'ers can help me out over the next 2 hours (before he has to leave), and give me some advice that I can forward to him.

    Thanks alot.

don't spit at anyone on the panel.

despite what you, or any of us might think, this is NOT a good idea.

I think the #1 concern employers have with teenage employees is responsibility. Let's face it: teens are flakes. I know because I was one.

I think he needs to try and show his prospective employers that he is not the stereotypical teen who will call in "sick" five minutes before he is supposed to be at work. Or sleep in the back for three out of the four hours he is supposed to be working.
