Won an eBay auction, and the seller is in Canada. He'd like to be paid by "International Money Order". What's the difference between one of them & the 'regular' money order I buy from the likes of Kroger or Tom Thumb?

I'm not sure but I do know that Canadian Postal Service money order can be cashed at any U.S. Post Office. So, it's likely that a USPS MO can be cashed at Canadian Post Offices.

Yes, a post office one will work. I've never used a non-usps one, so the others may be OK as well.

The "regular" money orders I get from the local convenience store say "international money order" on them. I've never actually seen a money order that wasn't "international."

Like you, I once won an eBay auction from another country, and an "international money order" was requested. I just got the regular kind and had no problems.

I just go to the bank and ask for a money order in whatever funds were requested, if they teller thinks the country sounds foreign she will get the internation money order :).

I've been getting International Postal Money Orders from the US for years. The US ones can not be cashed up here. You should be able to get them at the post office or bank.
