Hi all...Just looking into interconnects for dvd-a...I use a marantz sr8200 receiver, and am looking hard at a denon 1600 dvd player...any good links to good interconnects? Why is it that some offer all six interconnects, and others, are listed by the pair? I was looking at ixos dvd-a interconnects...ac4l.com for 75 bucks...sound reasonable, and of decent quality? As far as playing non-dvd-a stuff, a simple optical cable from receiver to dvd will be fine(for movies and such) correct? thanks! toml

Correct.

There are vendors that package the 6 cables into a single jacket. That may make a neater equipment rack, but should mean nothing sonic-ly.

I personally don't buy into the hype around premium cables. I use low end Phoenix Gold stuff (clear jacket, very pliable, decent quality, gold plated, and dirt cheap) throughout my rig, and I am happy with it.

Of course, thats a topic for endless debate, right next to the best way to achieve world peace.

I use Radio Shack gold series cables. They're fine for me. I use a stereo pair and a pack of four intended for tape decks.
