interconnects and amps (1 Viewer)

Assuming it's worth it to try to upgrade cables at all, would it be preferable first to try upgrading the interconnects between a receiver (or pre/pro) and an amp, or the interconnects between a CD player and the receiver? Or would it make no difference?

If alls quiet between your amp and receiver, I'd use the better cables from your CD to receiver.
