I just received a pair of Silver Serpent cables to try out and not sure what would be the most advantageous: between the prepro and amp or prepro and the cd? Equipment right now is as follows:
    Denon 3802 as preamp
    Parasound 2205
    Denon DCM370
    Paradigm Studio 40's (Rosenut Veneer[IMG])
    SVS 20-39+
    Whadda ya think!

    James,
Are you using the analog outputs of your CD player or digital?
If digital, then I guess the answer would be easy. . . [IMG]
But if analog--hey--how about trying both positions and letting us know your impressions?
Do you have any other sources (DVD, etc.) running into your 3802?
    Regards,
    Mike

Unfortunately, you probably won't hear a difference either way unless there was something seriously wrong with your previous cables. You do have the perfect opportunity to have a friend switch the cabes for you, without you knowing where or even IF the cables have been inserted, so you can determine if you can hear a difference without knowing [IMG]
