Intel or AMD Build? (2 Viewers)

So I'm building an HTPC. I priced out an AMD and Intel system. Which would be best in terms of performance? I plan to watch 1080P DVD/Blue-Ray, play some SNES/MAME emulation. Maybe 4K video in the future.


Intel Pentium G3220 Haswell Dual-Core 3.0GHz


OR


AMD Athlon 5350 Kabini Quad-Core 2.05GHz

The intel has much better CPU passmark scores. I would go with it especially considering it's cheaper.

If you plan to run Linux on it you may want to go with Intel. I just built an AMD Fusion based HTPC and learned the hard way. I got it working but not with the exact setup I wanted....
