Hello,
I'm in need of an Integrated Amplifier to drive a set of Axiom M60ti's. No doubt this topic has already come up at some point, but this is my first stereo system and I really feel lost.

Alright, so the price must not go over $350 US based on the fact that I'm in Canada and I assume once shipping, exchange rate, duties and tax are added it will roughly double. I had originally planned to buy an H/K 3480, but I really don't need the radio option, and with my budget, don't want to pay for it. So now I'm looking at the NAD C320BEE, but at $399 US I'd have to find a refurb/used one. Yawaonline.com has this, but alas, they do not ship outside of the US.

I'm open to suggestions here. If possible I'd like to buy within Canada to avoid border fees, but I will buy from the US if it's not too much.

Thanks for you time.

Integrated amps will typically cost more than receivers: it's called economies of scale. Very few folks are looking for them. If I were you, I'd investigate the Panasonic SA-XR50: awesome sound, digital amps and $250. You will not find a better bargain in audio today. Some "high end" guys are using them in bliss.

I would suggest you keep your eyes on Audio Advisors' "Clearance" section. The list changes daily and sometimes you can pick up a bargain, such as a demo Cambridge Audio 540A stereo integrated amp for under $300.00. With warranty. And they ship worldwide. Well, a brand-new 540A is just $350.00.

The current issue of Stereophile has a small section on the H/K 3480....a very positive mention.

My brother just bought a NAD C320BEE @ saturdayaudio.com. He paid $329 plus shipping. Authorized A stock.

Thanks for the suggestions. So does everyone think the NAD C320BEE will be alright with the M60's?
