I was just kind of curious to know whether this pre/pro has any 7.1 proprietary surround mode ala Logic7 to get 7 channel surround from stereo sources. Any help?
Thanks

Thanks for all the info, Troy. Unfortunately, I can't pull up PDF files because I'm a webtv user.
I see that they're now offering DPLII upgrades, which is cool.
As for enhanced 7, I'd surely appreciate it if you might be able to elaborate a little further. Can you set speaker distances and delays for the furthest 2 rear channels? Could you print out a little more info? Thanks much.
ps-as a side note, I can get just a bit short of 25% off on the Integra line, but my dealer doesn't actually stock it because Integra would make him carry the RDA-7 amp as well, which is both expensive, and not in high demand. If anybody is interested in a package for both, let me know at [email protected]

That's a helluva good discount on a piece that's not usually discounted! Last time I checked the RDC-7 was going for around $4800?

Hi Troy,
THANKS, you've been extremely helpful! Unfortunately, as I suspected, it doesn't appear that you can set the rear speaker distances separately, nor their individual volume levels...unless there's something I'm missing. I don't know if you're familiar with Lexicon's Logic7, but it can derive STEREO rear surrounds from a matrixed stereo source...kinda like if DPLII was made for seven channels. That's what I was interested in. I suspect that DPLII CAN do 7 channels, but marketing interests dictate that they'll probably parcel DPLII 7.1 out in a couple of years.
Thanks again,
Randy

$4,000 is the retail for the RDC-7 and it also now comes with DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 as well.
A very nice piece for the money.

Hey Bri,(or should I say Mr.Smartas)
My processor choices are still the Lex MC-1, Integra RDC-7, or the new Outlaw 950. I'd be able to get the Lex or the Integra at REAL low prices as you know, but I'm still curious enough to wait to see what goodies are in the Outlaw.
My speaker choices???? Still the Emeralds, of course. But there is a slight possibility of a pair of Jags or ACI's new toys for the fronts. In the meantime, I'm still enjoying my Emeralds. Wiseguy:^)

What sort of bass management does the unit do? I no it is stuck at 80Hz but can you save of does it remember the bass level for the different modes?

You know you can download the PDF manual for this thing.
Also THX is always 80Hz, non adjustable.
Someone prove me wrong :)

Everyone knows that imaginary systems are the best kind. Because if you have buyers remorse, or find that you bought the wrong component for any reason, you simply imagine that it fell of the back of the moving truck, and insurance pays for a new replacement! LOL.
The Integra looks to be the real deal. Would love to audition one someday.
