Pardon me if I am using the wrong Samsung model number, but I am referring to the DVD player expected in June 2003 (MSRP $349). How will this work (I mean hook up to) the Infocus X1 projector? If so, do you think I will see much of an improvement over my Toshiba SD 3750 progressive scan model? I think I heard it will have DVI inputs (I know the Infocus X1 doesn't). Is there a way to make the connection without loss of clarity?

It is the 931, and if your projector doesn't have a DVI input this player won't do you any good. According to all that I have read it only scales through the DVI output. It has component outs, but you will only get 480p through them, which is what a normal progressive scan player puts out. You used to be able to get a 1000 model from them that scales and outputs through the component, but it runs $1500, and they only shipped about 30 units to the US, and they are all gone.

Thsnks Tim. Guess I'll just stick with the DVD player I have for now.
