I bought one about a month and a half ago. I never had a projection system so I have nothing to compare it to. But it looks damn good to me. Great picture, and the ability to resize the picture based on input format is great. I would suggest that if you are gonna get one, find one off ebay. The msrp on these things is 4999 but I purchased one for 3800. If you want, I can give you the name of a guy who is always selling them on ebay for that price range and seems to have gotten great feedback on his sales. Good luck.
