Just for your information, the 4805's MSRP has been reduced to $1,099.
And many etailers seem to have it available now for $999 "after rebate".
Well ... Let's see ... My X1 will need a bulb soon. Do I pay $300 for a bulb, or just purchase the higher lumen 4805 with the native 16:9 DLP Darkchip2, 4x six segment color wheel, and Faroudja de-interlacing?
Why am I even asking this question??
I also have the X1 and am thinking of upgrading to the 4805.
Costco has it for 999.99. I don't think that price includes the rebate.
The Costco deal does not have a rebate with it. 999$ is the price and final price.
I think Costco doesn't have the rebate because they're not an authorized Infocus dealer. It appears only authorized Infocus dealers can offer the rebate.
From what I understand CostCo IS an authorized dealer; it just doesn't show up on the InFocus site as such. The standard price at most places is 1099.99, so in a sense CostCo already has the rebate applied.
I always thought Rebates were Gay and pointless, "to the consumer that is" the manufacturer just hopes that someone will lose the papers or forget to send in the rebate
You should probably curb your use of "gay" to describe something as "bad" or "stupid," at least on an online forum. I know it's rather common to say, but that doesn't mean it's not offensive to some people, gay and straight.
"I think Costco doesn't have the rebate because they're not an authorized Infocus dealer. It appears only authorized Infocus dealers can offer the rebate."
Check your rebates - they all expired May 31, 2005.
They've been extended to June 30th.
Yes, Costco is an authorized seller as already mentioned......just not listed on their site. If you call Infocus they will say Costco is an authorized seller....as is Sams I think.
Very well said. Whenever I read a comment like that it drives home how some people really just do not want to move foward in time.......
