Mike, are you also using the interlude speakers as well? I personally just believe that Denon is a better match for them than Yamaha. I know that Yamaha has (or at least HAD) a reputation for being "bright" sounding, and based on my own personal experience with mine, I can't dispute that. Although I understand that they've made great strides in improving that area recently. I just believe that Denon is much easier to match speakers up with as far as more possibilities. I feel that Yamaha limits you as to great speaker matches for them. I use M&Ks with mine, and that seems to be a good match for them. But I'd never put them with Klipsch for example. I also have a Denon 3802, but I've never used it, not even once. I wound up going with the HK 8000 instead. I still use the Yamaha in the bedroom because I know I could only get at best a few hundred bucks for it now if I sold it, and as much as I paid for it 5 years ago, I'm keeping it!
