Hello.

I'm looking for a solid 2 channel receiver (with A and B speaker options) that can push very modest speakers but also serves as an excellent tuner. I understand that older receivers have solid tuners, but they are analog and thus require some finesse in tuning.

I plan on purchasing a decent antenna for the roof (and OTA HDTV) as I live a 40-70 miles from the major metro areas, but AM radio reception would be nice as well. Though I understand the roof antennas usually have less of an impact as a receiver with a good tuner.

Thanks

The Sherwood Newcastle RX-770 seems to fit the bill. A/B speaker switching from the front panel or the remote; 4-gang FM tuner. It also has AM.

MSRP is $300.00.
