I grabbed me a ticket this morning. Not only a restored Raiders on the big screen, which would have been eventful enough, but on the IMAX screen! Even if it's "baby" IMAX this should be a fantastic experience. Woo-hoo!!!

Even though it's baby IMAX in my area, I got a ticket and will be seeing it 9/8. I have not seen Raiders theatrically since its original release, where I saw it 4 times (a record for me).

Got fauxMax tickets for Sunday morning before realizing I was seeing a baseball game that day.
So I got fauxMax tickets for Saturday morning, for me, my wife, and my 8 year old son. Should be a fantastic morning.

FauxMax?
What a killer opportunity! Raiders of the Lost Ark on the giant screen. Might watch it more than once, this probably won't happen again. Every time I've seen a "catalog" film at a theater, it's been a fun experience: The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, The Exorcist, The Godfather, and now Raiders.

So will this exhibition of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in IMAX be from a 70mm print? Or will it be 4k digital everywhere? I'm confused! I only ask because I have a real IMAX theater near me but I've seen some movies there that I can tell are a digital exhibition by the pixels and others where it's obvious it's actually a film print.
