Personal attachment has nothing to do with it - it is fiscal attachment.

Guys,

Want to know what I heard and think?

I have heard through the grapevine
that INDIANA JONES is slated for 2003.

I have heard work has already begun
on the supplements.

Now you can take this all as rumor as far
as I am concerned. I feel my source is accurate
but I will remain just as sceptical as all of you.

What I think is that the discs are
scheduled for 2003
, but this announcement
was made without the consent of the studio, and
probably is not an accurate timetable for release.

All I can tell you 100% accurately is that
Paramount is just as bewildered about this
recent announcement as the rest of you. This
means the studio is positively not backing up
this information -- and it's not just because
they are trying to be secretive about everything.

Interesting observation, Ron. Of course it depends on which grapevine exactly you heard it from, since there are reliable grapevines and not-so-reliable grapevines. But coinciding with this thing with Paramount, and considering that your source is probably pretty reliable, this is looking very good for Indy on DVD. Only a rumor, but this one's got quite a bit more kick to it.

Thanks for the inside rumor-info Ron.:emoji_thumbsup:
I hope its true, I can't wait for this trilogy to appear on dvd, higher on my list of must haves than the Back to the Futures and lower than the original Star Wars trilogy.

There is a branch there Aaron, but unless things have changed since the last time I called there (5 years granted) the main facility is in Florida

Well, given that I used to work there, I have a feeling I know whereof I speak. ;) It's been located in San Rafael since at least 1994, first next to ILM in the canal district, then later relocating closer to the Ranch.
But, to bring this back on topic, yes, please let the rumors be true! :)

Even if it is true, it's too far off to get excited about. I mean, I understand and even share everyone's hopes. But, I mean, it's [supposedly] thirteen months away. That's a loooong time.

Aaron I bow to your knowlege then. I'd love to hear about what games you worked on
Heh...M.A.M.E. is cool. Jeff, try here. Aaron made Mac ports of all the popular Lucasarts PC titles, like Dark Forces and stuff.
By the way, Jeff...forgive this old computer retail store manager the odd slip on the names of Lucas' divisions. :D

Nah, don't need to play on MAME. I have a good chunk of the Lucas Library since before Aaron worked there.
Drooling for that new Sam & Max game :)
