    Rich,
Try doing a search on the Software Forum for "Raiders". You'll find a whole lot of Indy discussions around these parts.
But to answer your question...nope. No way these movies hit DVD in 2002.
Maybe you like Marty McFly, though.... [IMG]

"Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" is the full video title of this film...

Only on the most recent VHS release, Vince. It's always been Raiders of the Lost Ark to me!

Oh, and Martin Blythe - Paramount VP - said right here on HTF months ago "no Indy in 2002".

They changed the title to make the last 3 episodes different from the 'Young Indiana Jones' series, and Raiders should have (volume) 24 on the spine - when it does come out.

To be specific, the title was changed in the Fall of 1999 for the new "downconverted from new hi-def masters" home video premiere of these titles on ... VHS Widescreen!

(As we all know, the planned THX LaserDisc release of these newly-minted transfers for the Fall of 1999 was canceled.)

BTW, I broke down and purchased this VHS Widescreen set in the Spring of 2000 (the first and only VHS purchases I had made since I acquired my DVD player in the Fall of '98); and as of right now, just a little over two years later, only Temple of Doom is still playable. I think it's time for these titles to be out on DVD ...

Which means that when the DVD is released it will probably have the title altered in the movie.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see these excellent films on DVD until we can get all four after 2005 when Indy 4 is out.

And two changes that I expect to see are 1) the onscreen change to the full title Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark and 2) the updated Lucasfilm logo from the old blue (or was it green?) text to the green-to-bronze logo.

If Harrison Ford wasn't allowed to shoot Greedo first in Star Wars, why should he be allowed to shoot that whirling dervish with the swords in Raiders?
Expect to see that removed digitally and the bullets in Indy's gun replaced with a little "Bang" flag and confetti. [IMG]
