What you are describing is bias. I could easily bring up a wine tasting that was influenced by the sight of the bottle etc..
Psycho acoustics studies how the part of the brain that interprets the sounds that enter through our ears, works.
Another part of the brain makes a decision on if it likes what it heard, and figures in other external stimuli such as looks, and price etc., to arrive at a overall position. Psycho acoustics does not deal with the bias from external factors.
