I have the HL-S5687W (56" model) and after having it for a couple months, I can tell you that you will be BLOWN AWAY!

I use mine mostly for playing Xbox 360 and some DVD movies and this thing is really really amazing.

    The colors are stunning.

    You're gonna love it.

    [IMG] Congrats.

I just got delivery of my HL-S5087W (the 50" model) yesterday. It was replacing my old Mitsubishi RPTV (the 46805). In the store, I was deciding between the Samsung and the new Sony SXRD A2000 50". They actually had them almost side by side at the store, so it made it a lot easier for me to compare. Both sets had excellent PQ, but there was something (almost intangible) that I liked better about the Samsung. So far, having viewed some regular DVDs and HD cable, I am completely blown away!! I thought my old set was pretty nice (it still works OK, but I wanted something a little more modern with HDMI, 1080p, etc ...) but the Samsung has an amazing picture in comparison. It's like somebody cleared away fog and haze and revealed the real picture underneath.
