New here and hoping to get some advice. Just got a Pioneer packaged HT. Front speakers are of 6ohms nominal impedance. Center and surround speakers are 8 ohms nominal impedance. Speaker impedance can be set on the receiver at either 6 ohms for all or 8-16 ohms for all:frowning:

Question is which is the safest bet to set the receiver to? And if impedance setting does not match between receiver and speakers, what are the likely problems?

Cheers :)

Always set for the lowest impedance the amplifier will see so set yours for 6 Ohms.
