I'm thinking of switching from directv to dish, but I have a dst-3000

    O.K here's my dilemna,

My wife wants wb/upn, but we are in a rural area between Cincinnati and Lexington, so we can't qualify for cincy locals, and Lexington's upn tower is putting out a weak signal that I can't reach with our outdoor antenna with pre-amp.
I have a hdtv(55809 mitsubishi) with the toshiba dst-3000 stb, with directv programming.
If I wanted to get dish network, should I just get a 2nd independant system for the back bedroom, or completely change over to dish network?
Could I still use my dst-3000 for local channels (digital local), and run the regular dish box through the tv also.

Should I get an HD dishnetwork box to watch local, and high def satelitte programming, and sell my dst-3000?

I'd like to go the least expensive route for sure.
I pay: 31.99 for directv+12.00 for hbo, and 5.00 for an extra bedroom reciever.

    A lot to consider...

    thanks, John
