on Thursday November 8th.
My wife's cousin lives there (she is a sound engineer doin' sound for commericals and the like) so we're going to visit her and see this concert. If we get there early enough, the cousin is going to show me the all digital room they have where the company views film. I am excited to see that! I'll have to let you know what kind o' equipment they have. But, System of a Down will be awesome too! Anyone else going to that show?

well, I'm not going to the show but I have seen them in concert and I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. They are loud! And the drums and bass hit hard. Great stuff.

Darren,
Was the drummer wearing a gas mask? I saw a video of them and he was wearing one. I thought that was really cool. I am a drummer and know that drumming is hard physical work (when playing hard core music that is) so breathing into that thing must be hell. What's my point? I don't have one.
But thanks for the "heads up."

no, he wasn't wearing one...damn that'd be hard. Oh, one thing I just remembered about the bass hitting hard, at one point the bassist actually had the lead singer (his name escapes me right now) punching his bass guitar. This was back around the family values tour time when they were touring with Limp Bizkit so things might have changed. Either way, you'll have a great time.

He has worn gas masks in the past. I'm not going to be able to make it to the Atlanta show, I'd like to try to catch the Myrtle Beach show the night before though.
Great band live, I've seen them 4 times and they will really blow you away.

I am torn between seeing Sevendust or System of a Down tomorrow. Sevendust is playing at their cd release party at Earthlink live(very small venue) for free. This event is being recorded for a live X which is a series of live sets 99X airs. I have Sevendust before and they were awesome. I like both bands so the decision comes down to see new band or go to free show. What is with two awesome bands of the same genre playing on the same night? Anyone have any comparisons of their live shows.

Not only did I see System of a Down, but I saw President Bush as I was waiting in line for the show. He was driving by on his way to speak to the CDC. Very weird.
SOAD is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They did an awesome and energetic show. Dog Fashion Disco opened for them. They very heavy and all wore blue dress shirts with ties.
