I was confused by the ending. After Ike gives the OK for the invasion, there's a scene at an airfield - the hangar doors open to the caption, "June 6, 1944." Then Ike drives up (it's daylight) and talks to a group of paratroopers (I think) who are smearing dirt on their faces.

But shouldn't it have read "June 5th?" since the paratroopers went out the night before. By daylight on the 6th the invasion was well underway!

I saw it on A&E. I think it was an original movie for them. Not sure about the production company.

I was surprised it was not available on DVD soon after it was aired. That's so often the case with these cable movies.
