I like the fact that an ignored person doesn't even show up in the thread...

I also like having the ability to post the specific URL of a post in a thread...

    Good job!

I love the ignore feature, but I have a question about it. In the threads where an ignored user posts, there is text that reads "This person is on your Ignore List. To view this post click [here]."

Over the weekend, I noticed that the aforementioned text wasn't showing up. Is there an option to turn this feature on?

Is there a way to find out how many people are ignoring me? [IMG]

Thanks Parker! Not that it's a big deal, but when I want someone ignored, I want them ignored completely. :b

I just noticed this. And unlike others here I do NOT like the way the ignore function is now working. It means that I don't know if I'm commenting on a thread and completely sounding like an idiot cause I'm ignoring something someone is saying. I really liked the way it was before where I knew that were saying something and could look if I wanted to (for instance if they were voting in a poll that I was tallying up).
I guess I'll have to stop using the ignore function. Too bad. [IMG] It was really nice.

You are always making things difficult. [IMG] I will see if I can yet again give people the option to turn something on or off.
My thought is that if you are really wanting to ignore what someone is saying, that is you have no interest in what that person is saying, then why would you want to be able to read what they have to say? Why have them ignored at all?

    Parker,
I don't mean to be difficult, really [IMG]. I'm willing to not use the ignore function. It's just that for me, that completely ignoring them, risks ignorance [IMG]. After all, they don't know they're on my ignore list, so they have no reason not to respond in a thread, and other people will see them, but not me, and I'll come off as rude, which, frankly, is the reason those two individuals are on my list in the first place (they were incredibly rude to me).
    example:
Me: So that's why I think that. Any questions.
Ignored person: Yes, I have a question. What about X?
Me: Well, since no one has any questions, I'm moving on to the next topic.
Ignored person: What about my question?
    Someone else: What about Y?
Me: Oh, Y. Sure that's a great question. Actually, it's too bad no one asked me about X. You see, X & Y...
Ignored Person: Hey, I asked about X.
Someone else: Can't you read? What do you mean no one asked you about X.
Me: Of course I can read. No one asked about X. You need to lay off the hallucinogens. [IMG]
Someone else: Yes they did. You're just being rude or else you need glasses. [IMG]
Me (to self): Someone else is nuts and being rude. Time to add them to my ignore list.

Seriously, Parker, don't go to any trouble on my behalf. I can live without it.

I have added the option for you to see a link to the post made by someone on your ignore list. Go to the User Control Panel and then Edit Options. From there go to the bottom of the list to "Show links for members on ignore list" and enable the Yes. If you don't want to see them listed at all turn on the No option.

Wow, that is really cool that this is a user-selectable option. [IMG]
    Nice work, Parker!
