The speakers that i built are a MTM towers with Dayton speakers and tweeters. I want nice warm sound while listening to music and sounding awesome when playing a movie.

I have said screw it and im buying a new Entertainment center. The one i bought has a 19 inch depth so maybe this will help.

What are your opinions on the Sony STRDE895?

I had a listen to the sony but it didnt really take to my ears, more of a HT amp than music, the NAD was much more suited to music listening along with HK and denon, but the NAD again would be my pic for value as it really outpowers everything in its preice range.

As you have built your own speakers i really suggest a high quality amp such as NAD HK Denon as diys will generally be much more revealing than commertial offerings, and you will want a warm amp with no harshness such as yamaha, sony, pioneer. Not saying these amps are not good as they are good in most situations, just diy is not one of them.
