    Hi

I'm about to go buy an IEEE 1394 cable to hook up my Cable Box/DVR to the new HLR4667W. Anyone have experience using this type of connection to an HDTV?

Just don't want to get stuck with a semi-expensive cable.

Just an FYI on my experience with this connection:

The picture was on-par/better than the compoment hook up. The problem was that while using the 1394 cable, no on-screen graphics (menus, guide, etc.) would display.

I then searched and found a line in the User Guide for the Motorola DCT series cable box/dvr. It stated that no graphics will display while using the 1394 connection.

Oh well - thought I could spend $30 on an advanced video cable and get good results. HDMI here I come...
