IE new window from link opens too small, why? (1 Viewer)

ok so i click a link and the window opens into a small rectangle.
i want it to open to fill the screen or near the entire screen.
i've tried resizing every way i can think of, closing the windo then clicking the link again, but still small rectangle.

what is going on?

If you want to resize the default window size, you need to make sure it is the only browser window open. Once you resize the last window and close it, that size should be set as the default.

i think i may have done that by accident becaus enow the windows open up full scree.
