Ideal Industries crimper for Canare? (1 Viewer)

In a pretty old post I read that someone found the Ideal Industries crimper #30-593 worked for Canare products (V3-4CFB cable with RCAP-C5F connectors).

Can anyone verify this? I really would like to make some of my own cables but the cost is pretty high for the tools...

Yes, I saw that on Chris' site but that is for the handle only, correct? You still need the die which will run $60 or so. The Ideal die #30-593 was reported to be the same (or very, very close) to the Canare die and I was hoping others have experience with this. You can order the #30-593 for about $20.

Does anyone have the measurement for the center pin crimp on the Canare die?

Yes the ideal crimp die will work perfectly. I use it all the time..
