Any word on this 1964 film which starred Sandra Dee, Robert Goulet, Andy Williams and Maurice Chevalier?
This has NEVER been on any official released studio disk. Its been bootlegged from AMC broadcast presentation and recorded from a bad vhs tape. Awful. It was originally a Universal release.

You'll find as you go through both old and current threads that missing Universal films is a topic constantly discussed. Dick has very recently started a new thread on Universal films he wants to be released on disc and Thomas T has included I'd Rather Be Rich in the list he compiled in response.

It might be a good idea for the moderators to merge this thread with that one.

I agree. That title should have been released on DVD and even blu ray long before now. I would also add Fluffy(1965), A Man Could Get Killed(1966), Love & Kisses(1965), Bus Riley's Back In Town(1965) and Tammy & The Millionaire(1967) to that list. And I wish Universal would please release the Tammy TV series on Region 1 DVD.

This was a remake of a Deanna Durbin movie from 1941, "It Started with Eve", with a sex change. The Deanna Durbin part was played by Robert Goulet in "I'd Rather Be Rich" Sandra Dee plays the part originally played by Robert Cummings in the original. Charles Laughton played the grandfather role in "Eve" played by Maurice Chevalier in the remake. "It Started with Eve" is on DVD as part of a multi film Deanna Durbin set or by itself as part of the Universal Vault series.
