I need to upgrade to more memory and the laptop came with two 16mb memory cards in that memory card holder under the laptop.

I know it can only take 80mb max (including internal memory) but my question is, can I install just ONE 64MB memory card into the memory card holder and be ok?

I get conflicting info when I've researched. IBM instructions online don't state it clearly, but it appears that using just one of the slots is ok.

A guy on Ebay has a real good price on a single 64MB memory card I'd like to install.

Thanks for your help

Crucial.com indicates you are able to install one DIMM at a time on your model. Make sure you look for 144-pin SODIMM modules.
