I recieved a spam email, tittled "Wife naggin' ya?"

curiously, i open it to discover an advertisment for a service for married people to meet up for sex.

I'm sorry for this but what the hell is wrong with our society nowadays, that this sort of thing could possibly exist? I want to believe its a joke, mabey it is, however it looks like its serious.

If it is infact real, then what kind of world is it in which a company can build itself around cheating on the people you vowed your life to before god, your family, and your supposed "loved one"

It really, really gets me miffed.

ok, enough ramblings from a 16 year old, i'm going to practice guitar.

Accourding to a massive study printed in:

Patterson, James, Peter Kim. The Day America Told the Truth: What People Really Believe About Everything That Really Matters. New York: Prentice Hall Press, 1991.

30+% of spouses are having an affair, and 60+% of them don't plan on stopping.

Not to turn this into a political thread, but it makes you think about all the people/groups that want to ban same-sex marriages to protect the sanctity of marriage. I'd say it's long dead.

Most of these types of e-mails don't actually practice the services they claim. It's just the typical porn spam presented a little differently to get your attention.

James,

Nice to see some of our youth have some morals. Good to hear that a teenager is disgusted by that crap for once!
IMHO, I think, SPAM dealing with porn should be banned off the internet!

You shouldn't waste your time reading spam e-mails for the reason Mike stated.

Considering that 50% of all marriages ends in divorce, I'm willing to bet that most of the 30% figure will end up this way. Fortunately, the other 50% seems to run in my family :)

As for sick, I have this one. Last Friday I got one from Citibank, letting me know that my account was going to be closed if I didn't respond.

After seeing the mess that Earthlink went through, and knowing that I don't have an account with Citibank, I knew that it was the same sort of SPAM. The next day I got another one saying that my account had been closed!

If you see these at work on Monday you'll know.

I tried to do my 'good deed' for the day and forward it to Citibank, but they didn't have any email addresses that I could use, so I just dumped them.

Funny, in my culture, it doesn't get any ruder than a kid who thinks it's his call to "let" his parents do anything.
not sure where you're from, but i do things a little differently than most kids, but i dont do it in a rude fasion.

You're absolutely valid on that people do things differently, hence equal but different.

I have to agree with Holadem on this bud.

"Let" :
1.To give permission or opportunity to; allow: I let them borrow the car.

In your context it reads as if you have the authority, initiative, and everything else adults/parents have or are percieved to have in society. As if you had the power to either permit or not permit something, beer in the house in this case.

Perhaps different wording.

Why does what the rest of society does, have any bearing on your future relationship with your future wife? It doesn't, and it shouldn't.
People have been cheating on their spouses and/or "swinging" (Married COUPLES engaging in consensual sex with other couples) for a WHOLE LOT longer than "these days," so this isn't anything new. Apparently, email just adds a level of efficiency to the mix.:) It's not something I agree with, having been happily (well, mostly;) ) married for 9 years, but hey- free will. Karma can be a serious b***h in matters like these.:)

As far as my children "letting" me do things- well, see Holadem's response. There's a respect issue on your end that needs to be worked out, IMO. Perhaps it's just your poor choice of wording?

Anyway, props to you for being a decent-minded kid. Don't toot your horn too much, though- it brings it down a notch.

Frankly, your opinion is exactly that ... your opinion. There is nothing wrong with open marriages or so-called "swapping" among consenting adults.

Think outside the box... Making a marriage work is tough and there are different kinds of marriage. Don't judge that which you don't understand.

Spam is a completely separate issue....

it wasnt for consenting, it was for cheating.

and granted, that is your opinion, but i think that if you plan to get married and then go outside the marriage, why bother getting married?
