I want to enroll in Wiring 101 (1 Viewer)

Anyone have any good resources or previous threads that discuss wiring in all of its aspects? Let's assume I know nothing about the subject. Specifically, I wish to know more about bananas and spades, the best type of wire for hooking up a home theater, and anything else I should know. Please help

Look at the cable asylum. Lots of info on all topics. Evey once in a while you'll find links to some of the essays by Jon RIsch, an audio engineer. Great stuff and really interesting to read.
