Having missed both the regular release and the cute Disc in a Birth Control Box shaped tin releases of the notorious Candy from Anchor Bay -now OOP and outrageously expensive-was wondering who now owns this?
This seems to be the only Cinerama release Anchor Bay put out.

Now there's a blast from the past. I went to see it on its release and, as best I can recall, I was bored with much of it. Hell, I was probably disappointed at that tender age that it was not outright porn. But that was then and this is now, so thanks for the reminder -- I got the Region 2 DVD a while back (it was way more affordable than the OOP domestic one) but haven't yet watched it.

Technically, it was an ABC project that Cinerama released in theatres. Anchor Bay used to have the ABC package, did some nice releases on stuff like SHALAKO, KRAKATOA, etc.
At last check, MGM still has the ABC package licensed from Disney, but while they reissued many of the prime ABC titles (Selznick Hitchcocks, STRAW DOGS), they have not reissued this one. Maybe they figured without the supplements that AB created, it wouldn't sell.

I own the Birth Control Box version, I have not seen the movie in ages. Would buy a blu-ray issue and see if it fit in the box.

Many of the ABC produced films that Anchor Bay initially released were reissued by MGM (Zachariah; Impulse; Custer of the West and many others-Candy not being one of them.
Fox has not released any of the ABC films MGM controls on Bluray as of yet. I would like to see Hell in the Pacific, Too Late the Hero, Shalako as well as Candy get Blu ray rereleases.
So far -the Selznick Hitchcock films controlled by ABC/MGM have been the only ones released.
Paramount at least is releasing their CBS films on Blu -Le Mans, A Man Called Horse, Little Big Man and giving surprise standard dvd releases to Monte Walsh , Grandview USA out of left field.
