Has anyone purchased this DVD yet, and if so, could you please watch the "Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales" feature and let me know if you notice an incredible ammount of pixelation?
I'm not sure if my disc is defective or if the DVD was not properly mastered but I purchased this last night and it is almost unwatchable - it's that bad! I don't know any other way to describe the glitch other than asolutely horrible pixelation which appears to almost freeze the picture frames and distort the image quality heavily (sort of like when you're playing a video game and the screen/image breaks up for a few seconds)! This literally occurs every 30-40 seconds and there are some scenes where it's just painful to watch.
Just check out the beginning of the first short, I believe it's first noticeable when Rerun goes to see "Snoopy Claus" about his Christmas presents. This occurs about a minute or so into the feature, if not less.
Again, the entire "Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales" portion of the DVD is subject to this and I would like to know if I should try and replace my copy or if Paramount could have possibly been so sloppy to have mastered the DVD like this!
I wish I could take a screen grab to give an example, I've never seen pixelation on any DVD like this before!
