So I recommend broadening ones horizons rather than looking for that solo album by that band member who played percussion on one album. Though this is dangerous advice for cd addicts because I started buying a lot more cd's when I got into classical and jazz.I hear you on this one. I got into jazz in a big way a couple of months ago, and my number of music purchases has seemingly gone up exponentially as a result (my interest in rock, pop, and metal has not waned during this period). One thing that has helped is that I get a lot of great deals through the BMG and Columbia House music clubs. I have a buy one, get three free deal sitting here from Columbia House, and I will use it to build up my Coltrane collection a bit (probably Giant Steps, Soultrane, My Favorite Things, and Lush Life).
