Is there somewhere I can read up on ambient lighting for home theatres with projectors? I've read they can look just as good as plasma with the proper ambient lighting, but how do you get that ambient lighting? What kind of lighting is it exactly? Thanks!

Eric, a projector looks it's best with all lights OFF.

I think you misunderstood. Projectors look best with total control of ambient lighting. Ambient light is things like outside light coming from a window, light coming in from other rooms; in other words any light that leaks in and has to be eliminated to gain total darkness. A projector looks best without any ambient light, so you can view in total darkness or close to it.
